Ingredients: 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tbsp. ground cinnamon (a little more won't hurt) 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. (1 stick) real butter (softened) 1/2 c. butter flavored Crisco shortening (1/2 stick) 3/4 c. packed brown sugar 3/4 c. granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 3 cups Quaker old fasioned oats 1 bag (11oz.) Nestle's Toll House Butterscotch Morsels |

Instructions: 1. Heat oven to 350 deg. F 2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Stir with a fork until cinnamon is mixed in thoroughly. 3. In large electric mixer bowl, cream both sugars, butter and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing after each. Add vanilla. 4. Slowly add flour mixture. 5. With a large spoon, thoroughly mix in the oatmeal and butterscotch morsels. 6. Drop large spoonfuls (about 1/4 c.) onto ungreased cookie sheet. 7. Cook for 11 minutes at 350 deg. (cookies will look uncooked in the middle when done) 8. Allow to cool on the cookie sheet for 5 min. before transferring to a paper cooling sheet (I use paper grocery bags). Makes about 24-27 4" cookies |
