Technology is changing at an incredible rate. When I was in High School, just over a decade ago, the Internet didn't even exist! Sure, there were BBS's out there, but the idea of sitting down at your computer to find out what was playing at the local theatre was completely unheard of. Now, we get that information on the telephone we carry in our pockets!

We had computer labs in elementary school, where we learned to type, or played the ever-famous Oregon Trail on the Apple IIe computers. At our house, we had the Commodore 64 in the dining room, next to the 2.5'-wide daisy-wheel impact printer.  But look at where technology has taken life in such a fleeting instant. There is more computing power on most Cell Phones than there was on that Commodore 64. We have Hard drives that, in just the last few years have grown in standard sizes from just 2 to 300 gigabytes and larger.

So, how do we keep up? Knowledge is the key. There are those that say that computers have taken millions of jobs away, but the only people who are left behind in this technology makeover are the ones who refuse to learn to adapt and grow. Business today requires more technology than ever before. Where a typewriter or a Steno pad once relayed the messages to fellow employees, e-mail and Instant Messaging now are the only logical method of communicating with the employees who can now telecommute, or work a world away from the home office. Telephones have now become the receptionists and answering machines, or we just take the phones with us wherever we go. In fact, mine has even relegated my bedside alarm clock to a storage shelf in the basement.

But not everyone has the time to remain completely focused on the technological marvels of the day. Many of us must focus our energy on selling our employer's products,  making sure the production lines keep running with supply chains and workers, or keeping our families safe, clean and well-fed. That is where people like me come in.

My expertise is in deploying the technology that you need to stay ahead of the game, without making it too completely overwhelming. I can recommend hardware and software solutions to suit your small company or your home and then I take the time to sit down with you and make sure you understand how and why it works. Don't rely on the big chain stores with the fancy gimmicks and advertising campaigns, or the service tech shops with obscene pricing and questionable reputations. I am one person, one phone number, one e-mail address, one stop for all of your home or small business technology needs.
